Carl Birch
Head Freshman Coach

Coach Birch enters his second season as a member of the Pirate Coaching staff, and in 2010 he will serve as the Head Freshman Coach.  He is a 2006 graduate of PHS, where he was a member of the varsity baseball, soccer and track teams.  Coach Birch earned second team all-conference recognition as a sophomore in soccer, and was a first team selection as a junior and as a senior.  In baseball, he lettered for three seasons.  He was the starting SS for the 2005 team that won a then school record 25 games and a regional title.  In 2006, as a senior, he batted over .400 en route to second team all-conference honors.  Prior to joining the PHS staff, Coach Birch coached 8^th grade teams in the Pewaukee Youth Baseball rec league.  He is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
