Adam Dobberstein enters
his eighth season as head coach of the Pirates. During
his time at Pewaukee, the varsity squad has finished
worse than second in the conference only two times, and
has posted a conference record of 94-44 (.681). In 2002,
Pewaukee won a conference championship. During
Dobberstein’s seven-year tenure, the Pirates have set
new school records for wins in a season three different
times. The most recent mark (25) came in 2005, when
Pewaukee also won just its second regional championship
since 1972. Prior to coming to Pewaukee, Coach
Dobberstein spent three seasons as the varsity assistant
at Brookfield East High School. He attended high school
at nearby Sussex Hamilton, where he was a member of the
football and baseball teams. He had the privilege of
playing for legendary Coach Stan Grove as a football
player. The Charger football team won back to back
conference championships in Dobberstein’s junior and
senior seasons, and made runs deep into the playoffs
both years. As a baseball player, Dobberstein was three
times an all-conference selection and was bestowed with
Player of the Year accolades as a junior. The baseball
team also won a conference championship during
Dobberstein’s junior season. As a senior, he was the 1st
team CNI All-Suburban Catcher. Dobberstein then earned a
scholarship to play baseball at Evangel University (NAIA)
in Springfield, MO. At Evangel, he helped the Crusaders
to their first conference championship in school history
and was again a member of the All-Conference team three
times. Coach Dobberstein is an attorney and business
owner. He is married to wife Stephanie, and they reside
in Pewaukee with their three boys; Logan, Carson and
Owen. |
